Function: Recompiler (a medic program)
Likes: Collecting data, tidying his clinic, unusual programs and ISOs, drinking.
Dislikes: Being called Ardy, other programs putting themselves in unnecessary danger, being called a coward, loneliness.
Relationship status: Single. Ardus wouldn't mind the odd fling or two, but only one at a time. He's a monogonus kind of guy.
Can be found: In his clinic in down town Tron City or the End of Line club. You are not likely to see him in other places, unless you happen to catch him travelling between his two haunts.

Detailed backstory:
Ardus is a recompiling program from the old system. Flynn ported him over to his new Grid with an assortment of other programs, making Ardus one of the older programs in residence. He’s quite mouthy and vocal about his opinions, doesn’t like being out of his comfort zone, and a lot of things make him cranky. He’s a very intelligent and inquisitive about certain subjects (anything to do with recompiling), but hides most of that behind a mask of gruffness. Ardus is a cautious program, and is generally wary of any activities which might cause damage. Understandably he’s always (very verbally) hated the games, but despite his prickly nature Ardus is a soft touch – he’ll help any program who needs him, often more than he needs to. Woes betide anyone who touches his precious data pads, however.

When the ISOs first appeared on the Grid, Ardus was most excited to learn about their unique digital DNA. He requested to study them, in the hopes of finding better ways to heal programs. Sadly because of the growing tensions between Basics and ISOs, he only received one volunteer. Her name was Su, and they quickly become close friends.

Ardus was head over heels in love with her. Su was more reserved with her feelings, but generally hinted at them being returned. Ardus would have done anything for her, and even helped her escape when Clu began to take over the Grid. Unfortunately, it turned out that Su already had a lover. Ardus was crushed that Su had used his feelings to get what she wanted, but he never betrayed them. Still, when Clu’s men came to derezz him for being an ISO sympathiser, he didn’t fight back.

Ardus doesn’t like others getting too close, and distances himself both physically and emotionally. He was hurt by Su more than he’ll even admit to himself, and now prefers to spend most of his time performing his function to the best of his ability. Although he doesn’t trust easily, but once you’ve gained his confidence he will be loyal to you forever.

RP basics: I'm not very precious with my characters, but I would like to be asked before derezzing happens. Otherwise anything that happens is fair game! I will roleplay adult situations, I have a fairly high tolerance, though I am not interested in incest or losing limbs (unless it's reversible!). If you're unsure, just ask.
